My story
Jacqui McConville | Managing Director, JMX Solutions
Hi! My name is Jacqui, I am based in Adelaide and I have founded JMX Solutions, a specialist conflict resolution service dedicated to helping sports and not-for-profit organisations thrive.
After an 18-year public service career, during which I held executive level positions responsible for the management of complaints and escalations and used these experiences, outcomes, and data to drive quality improvement, I transitioned into community sports and not-for-profits. What I discovered is a significant gap: both sectors often lack designated complaints staff, leaving overburdened managers and volunteers to handle these challenges on top of their daily responsibilities.
This reality means that complaints and feedback can be overlooked. At JMX Solutions, I provide a dedicated service to ease this burden, ensuring that you can listen to your members or clients/customers and address concerns impartially and effectively. My approach helps build credibility, fosters engagement, provides an evidence base for decisions and motivates volunteers by creating an environment where people feel valued and heard.
By focusing on effective feedback and complaints management and proactive member engagement, I help organisations build stronger connections and create time and space to operate more effectively.
What sets me apart is my insight into the unique dynamics of these organisations. I am a dedicated 'hands on' community member and volunteer, holding secretary and treasurer roles on kindergarten and school governing councils over the years and I've been involved in grassroots sports my entire life.
I grew up in regional South Australia, started playing sport when I was 5 and coaching at 15. I played multiple sports at regional level and SA Country basketball at state level. I've been an ORSR accredited Level 2 sports coach, a Level 1 accredited netball coach and an assistant coach at national junior championships (basketball). I was a national C badge netball umpire and level 1 basketball referee and I've held volunteer Director and Junior Coordinator roles in community sports clubs. I am a busy mum of three very sporty kids, each achieving their own successes from school through to state level, so I've been actively coaching and team managing junior sports in recent years as many parents do. More recently I was the Operations Manager for a State Sporting Organisation, a Tribunal Panel Member for a National Sporting Organisation and I have current links within the university sporting sector.
I understand the pressures faced by staff, committee/board members, participants, officials, parents, and volunteers, and I tailor my services to meet these needs. By addressing conflict impartially and professionally, I can help you reduce stress, move forward, and create positive change.
Approachable, reliable, and driven by a genuine passion for helping others, I’m here to make conflict resolution seamless and use the insights gained to make your organisaton even better, so you can focus on what matters most: making a difference.
I am a Nationally Accredited Mediator and Certified Complaints Professional with over 20 years experience addressing complex conflict with professionalism, empathy and care.
